Technical FAQ

A Delegator is a participant in a blockchain network who delegates or stakes their cryptocurrency holdings, such as Bone, to a Validator to help secure the network and earn rewards. Delegators do not actively participate in the network's consensus mechanism but rather support Validators in their operations.
A Validator is a crucial part of a blockchain network responsible for validating and confirming transactions while maintaining network security and consensus. Validators play a critical role in decentralized networks like those using Proof of Stake (PoS) or Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) algorithms.
When choosing a Validator to stake your Bone tokens with, consider factors like the Validator's bio and initiatives, commission, node uptime, and rewards . It's essential to DYOR (do your own research) and assess the Validator's reliability and trustworthiness before delegating your tokens. We also recommend that you use tools such as shibariumscan.io to check the validity of blocks, tokens and transactions on Shibarium.

To stake Bone, you will need to use a decentralized cryptocurrency wallet or platform that supports staking. To begin staking or delegating your Bone:

  1. Click "Connect Wallet".
  2. Choose ‘Injected’ to add your browser Decentralised Wallet or launch Wallet Connect to add your wallet via QR Code or Desktop Wallet.
  3. Choose a Validator from the list of Validators, and click Stake Bone. You're Bone tokens will then be staked with a Validator. Before staking any tokens always DYOR (Do your own research).

When you stake Bone, you delegate your tokens to a Validator, who uses them as collateral to participate in the network's consensus process. In return, you may receive rewards in the form of additional Bone tokens for helping secure the network.
The duration for which you need to stake Bone can vary depending on the specific blockchain network and protocol you're using. Some networks have lock-up periods, while others allow you to stake and unstake (unbound) your tokens at any time. Check the staking rules and requirements of each network and validator before you stake with them.
Your staking rewards can vary based on several factors, including the network's staking rewards rate, the number of tokens you've staked, and the Validator's performance. It's essential to check the specific staking rewards rate for the network you're interested in and monitor your rewards over time.
Once your wallet is connected, you can go to My Account and see the total Bone you have staked and total rewards.
To withdraw your staked Bone tokens, you will need to click Connect Wallet and once your wallet is connected, go to your account page and click Unbound against each Validator to unstake it or remove your delegation. Once unbound you will need to click Withdraw Rewards to be able to access your Bone via your decentralized wallet.

Becoming a Validator involves technical expertise and you'll need to set up and maintain the necessary infrastructure, build a reputation within the blockchain community, and follow the specific guidelines and requirements of the network you want to validate for.
